Ilene Richardson's Artist Studio has been located on the Eastern Shore of Maryland for over three decades, creating Glass Beads at the torch, Sterling Silver Bead Jewelry and Stained Glass Windows. All of the artwork created is One-of-a-Kind from Original Designs.

"Pet Portraits in Stained Glass" is now offered to everyone, it once was only glass work done by and for the artist. Here is what the Ilene Richardson has to say about her glass work... "Pet Portraits created in Stained Glass is a journey that started while creating my own personal window of  Daisy, who was a doberman and rottweiler mix dog that I was fortunate to have in my life for only nine years. When I was working on the drawing for the window and finally printed it out in color, this picture stopped me in my tracks and touched my heart, as if she was right in front of me again! It was an emotional moment more powerful than I ever expected. At that moment, I knew the artwork I had to offer to people everywhere was Pet Portraits in Stained Glass. This is the journey I love the most, seeing pets artistically come alive in glass.

As a Traveling Artist exploring the rural, southwest coastal lands of Ireland to the New Mexico home of Georgia O'Keeffe and high mountain desert mecca of Ghost Ranch in Abiquiu, New Mexico, you will usually find Ilene back home exploring the East Coast of the United States, while she does the majority of her hands-on creativity along the Eastern Shore of Maryland and in her studio.

Watercolors & Pastels are used for the beginning sketches of glass creativity, experimenting with light and colors. Concentrating on exploration of color relationships for later use in glass art along with how color schemes in nature coexist, helps to develop designs based on unique travel experiences.
